Around Easter time, I noticed three beautiful dogwood trees blooming radiantly in front of my home. This beautiful North Carolina state tree is the subject of southern lore. Legend has it that the wood from a large dogwood tree was used to make Jesus' cross. Since then, the dogwood tree has been both cursed and blessed. Read more on my blog!
