Carolina on my Mind is one of five original paintings from my Carolina Coastal Collection.  I am drawn to how nature restores our soul.  Some of my best childhood memories were at the beach. Building sandcastles, eating saltwater taffy and racing into the ocean as we fought the waves to then ride them back into shore.  As an adult, I’ve discovered the gift of waking up early while everyone is still asleep, grabbing my coffee and sneaking off to the beach.  Sitting alone on the beach and taking in the vastness and beauty of the ocean is breathtaking.  It restores the soul and renews hope in all things. As the sun rises, there is the joy and peace knowing there is whole day ahead to soak in all that the Carolina shore has to offer.
