Before the Day Begins reflects the importance of looking up and seeing the beauty of nature at the start of the day. During warm weather months, I begin my day on my deck in a rocking chair looking up at the magnificent crepe myrtles in my backyard. As I sip my coffee and pray, these beautiful trees ground me and fill me with gratitude and hope. The pink flowers are gorgeous and fluffy, and when the wind blows the petals drop like snow on my deck.
